Everyone (even the boys) were excited to try some creative combinations... Can't you just picture the flying ingredients and heavy fog of strawberry, vanilla and watermelon in the air?

tuesday frisbee!

tuesday night frisbee was a success! the girls had fun and later we watched "camp rock!"

Diamond Ranch Academy Girl's Basketball 2009-2010

Presenting the AWESOME girl's basketball team. These great girls gave a 100% effort all season...and that effort really paid off.

Their final record was 14 - 3. They played in the Washington City League...a women's league...and were the undefeated league champions!

As if that weren't enough, their final game against the El Capitan Eagles was an overtime winner, by 1 point. No one had defeated the Lady Eagles...EVER!

Way to go Lady 'Backs...winning or losing season, you earned this tribute!

We also extend a big hand and many thanks to our coaches: Betsy and Gary! Thanks so much for all your time and great coaching.

February 14

VALENTINE'S DAY

Today we had the oppurtunity to have both campuses combine together and paint faces, the amazing artists were Mckenna and Sasipha.  We all had a really good time.  Also, some of us gathered in the library and played Werewolf and it got intense. 

Later on we piled some tasty sugar cookies with frosting and sweets.  All in all it was a wonderful Valentine's and we were all so grateful to Melanie and the rest of the staff and committees involved for all the work it took to make our Valentines great!

During recreation we played a modified game of tag.  Rather than tagging each other each student had a balloon tied to their leg and they were out when someone else popped their balloon.  It sure was a workout and involved ALOT of running.

NAIL POLISH

Crystal Springs and Whisper Creek were told to go to the big building to eat dinner together.  Everyone thought something was up and we were right.  While eating dinner Melanie, APD, announced that we had enough nail polish donated to start our nail polish palooza.  Everyone was ecstatic! All the girls met in the cabin to paint our nails and enjoy a movie.  We voted on "Hairspray".   Everyone got comfortable and our day was topped off perfectly.Thanks to all the parents who donated nail polish.

Diamond Ranch Academy Girls Day Out

BiRtHdAy BeNeFiT!!

Can you say SPA DAY?!?  For the girls celebrating birthdays in January and February it was a day of indulgence.  They went to Evan's Hairstyling Academy for moisturizing facials and manicures.

You can tell they are excited.  Many of them have never had an experience like this before...but now they may be hooked. (Sorry parents).  If we have many more benefits like this one we may exhaust Evan's supply of neon pink, electric blue, lime green, and perfectly purple nail polish.  Better stock up, Evan's staff.

After all the pampering, primping and polishing the girls headed over to buffet restaurant, Golden Corral.  When presented with an opportunity to have ALL YOU CAN EAT lunch and dessert, you can bet these girls will pack it away!!

we had a small group last week, we wanted to play frisbee but we didn't have enough to play. we settled on a drawing game instead!

STUDENT OF THE MONTH!!

we already have students of the week, but we're taking it to a whole new level with the student of the month! at the end of each month we'll pick one student from each campus and do something fun. this month, for january, we went to the hurricane movie theatre to watch, "the tooth fairy" and dairy queen for blizzards!
